Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a preferred modality among many clients due to its numerous benefits and effectiveness in addressing specific concerns. Benefits of deep tissue massage include alleviating immediate pain/discomfort, increasing circulation, reducing stress and tension, reducing inflammation, and increasing mobility. With your consent, your RMT may choose to incorporate deep tissue massage into their treatment plan to encourage healthy repair of soft tissue.
Sport massage can expedite your recovery process enabling you to get back to training and competing faster, and with less muscular soreness.
During a prenatal RMT massage, our therapists employ techniques that specifically target the common discomforts associated with pregnancy. Back, neck, and shoulder tension are often experienced due to postural changes and increased strain. Our therapists are trained to safely and effectively alleviate discomfort and promote relaxation using manual therapy.
Relaxation/Swedish Masssage
Swedish techniques and relaxation massage have been found to effectively reduce anxiety, stress, tension, and fatigue. By applying gentle pressure and specific techniques, our therapists can help release physical stress, allowing you to achieve a state of deep relaxation.
Myo-Fascial release focuses on releasing restrictions, adhesions, and areas of tension within specific connective tissue layers of the body. Fascia is a tissue that interconnects muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and organs throughout the entire body. A common comparison is that fascia is like the pulp of an orange, it covers and separates our muscles but also travels deep within them. Fascia can be impacted by injury or physical trauma, resulting in pain, dysfunction or discomfort. By releasing these restrictions and adhesions, Myo-Fascial Release therapy can improve the function of your fascia - increasing range of motion and decreasing pain.
